Insight

When advertising launched, the provider already had a clear market position. The harder problem was translating that position into audience relevance.

Global workforce services solve several operational problems, but there was no single business category expressing demand consistently.

Potential decision-makers could sit across HR, finance, procurement, legal or leadership. The value of each benefit changed according to the buyer’s role, company situation and operational maturity, making conventional audience targeting unreliable.

This created a fundamental constraint.

Search-led acquisition alone could not scale because the market had not yet established consistent language for the problem. Many suitable buyers could not clearly express their demand.

This reframed the problem:

The task was to build recognition and qualified interest first, then capture demand once repeatable search behaviours and common commercial phrases emerged.

Execution

We built the strategy around demand creation, lead generation and later-stage demand capture.

The first phase translated the established positioning into audience-specific benefit hypotheses.

We tested how different operational, compliance and workforce-management benefits resonated across professional roles and business contexts. Performance signals showed which audiences understood the proposition, which benefits created attention and where the message needed more explanation.

Rather than force an immediate conversion from a market that was not ready to search, we built familiarity first.

A sustained brand-awareness and lead-generation layer introduced the provider to relevant buying groups, repeated the most persuasive benefits and created recognisable demand before a formal search journey existed.

Alongside this, we used lead-generation campaigns to turn early interest into qualified conversations. Audience and message performance continuously informed how the positioning was mapped to each segment.

At the same time, emerging search behaviour was monitored and mapped.

Once recurring search practices and common phrases became visible, Google Ads campaigns were introduced to capture buyers whose demand had matured into active intent.

The result was a unified system:

  • Paid social → build awareness around audience-specific benefits
  • Lead generation → turn early interest into qualified conversations
  • Search → capture demand once commercial language became visible

Together, these layers allowed demand creation and demand capture to mature as one acquisition system rather than as disconnected campaigns.

Results

The staged strategy converted an unclear market opportunity into measurable commercial growth.

  • 55% sales growth over the year
  • 21% lower acquisition cost than competitors
  • A repeatable path from brand awareness to lead capture

Beyond the headline results, the campaign established which audiences responded to each part of the proposition and how the market described its needs at different stages.

More importantly, the provider gained a scalable system that could create demand where category language was weak and capture it efficiently once buyer intent became explicit.

Strategic Takeaway

“When buyers cannot yet name the solution they need, growth begins by making the value recognisable — then capturing demand as the market learns how to express it.”
