Insight
The brand came to us with a highly specific supplement and very limited market penetration.
There was no established positioning, no validated audience and little behavioural evidence to show which benefit should lead the proposition.
Initial expectations pointed towards a conventional health-conscious buyer, but campaign response suggested a more varied opportunity.
Vegans, workaholics and athletes engaged for different reasons, creating both growth potential and the risk of an unfocused message.
The product itself also needed to remain open to refinement as evidence accumulated.
This reframed the problem:
The launch was not only an advertising exercise. It was a live product-market-fit programme using real response to define audience, positioning and product direction.
Execution
We used advertising as a research and growth system across multiple markets.
Audience tests compared lifestyle, dietary and performance-oriented segments rather than relying on a single assumed customer profile.
Creative explored functional benefits, daily routines, ingredient relevance and different situations of use.
Response patterns revealed three valuable clusters: vegans seeking suitable supplementation, workaholics managing demanding routines and athletes focused on performance.
The emerging audience model gave each segment a distinct reason to care while preserving a coherent master proposition.
Campaign evidence also informed product refinement so the offer could better match the needs producing the strongest commercial response.
Meta Ads created demand through lifestyle-led creative while Google Ads captured active supplement research.
Insights were compared across EMEA, APAC and the Americas to separate local variation from repeatable global signals.
The result was a multi-market ecommerce advertising framework:
- Segmented creative → express relevant use cases
- Search demand → validate commercial intent
- Product feedback → improve audience fit
Advertising, positioning and product decisions were treated as one continuous learning loop.
Results
The specialist product moved from low penetration towards repeatable international demand.
- 3.7x return on advertising spend achieved
- Performance sustained across a two-year programme
- Scalable activity established across EMEA, APAC and the Americas
The brand gained a clearer view of the people most likely to respond and the benefits that mattered to each group.
Most importantly, paid media became a source of product intelligence as well as a revenue channel.
